   Day 1

   Arrive in Kenya

   Meal included: dinner

   We take our flight to Nairobi, Kenya, where our adventure begins. On arrival, we have a quick bite to eat before heading to bed, ready for the day ahead.

   Day 2

   Sagana Camp Activities

   All meals included

   We transfer to Sagana (approx. 2 hours) and after settling into camp, we have time to explore our surroundings and the chance to complete a nature walk in the local area. We enjoy a mix of activities in the afternoon. During our time at the camp, we fit in as many activities as possible such as white water rafting, ducky rides, cycling, climbing, kayaking, and zip lining.

   Days 3–5

   Project Work at Primary School

   All meals included

   Over the next few days, we walk to meet the team at the local primary school where we are based for three days. After consulting with the school and local community, we focus on project work to support the school using the funds we have raised. Once school has finished, we have the opportunity to take part in equal cultural exchange with some of the children and to learn from and share stories with different students.

   Day 6

   Ol Pejeta, Equator and Game Drive

   All meals included

   After a busy few days at the school, we head out on safari. After breakfast, the buses are loaded with personal and safari equipment and we depart on the 2.5 to 3-hour drive to Ol Pejeta. En route, we stop at Nanyuki, a small town on the Equator, with time to take some photos and look around the local shops. From Nanyuki it is approximately 30 minutes to Ol Pejeta Gate. We sign in at the gate and do a short game drive to our wild camp in the middle of Ol Pejeta. On arrival at camp, we receive a briefing on the dos and don’ts of camping in the wild and then set up camp together. The camp is protected by an electric fence to keep the animals out and we have two armed rangers for added security. Once camp is set up, we have lunch before heading out on an afternoon game drive to spot wildlife. Afterwards, we return to camp for dinner and spend the evening seated around the campfire listening to the remarkable sounds of the African bush.

5. 7

   Day 7

   Morning Game Drives and Return to Sagana

   All meals included

   This morning we are out at sunrise for an early morning game drive, with the chance to spot animals we may have missed the day before. We return to camp for breakfast and to begin packing up. On leaving the camp, there may be the opportunity to visit a chimpanzee sanctuary to see rehabilitated and rescued chimps living as natural a life as they can (time-permitting). After a picnic lunch, we head back to Sagana, arriving late afternoon.

6. 8

   Day 8

   Transfer to Nairobi - Depart Kenya

   Depending on flight times, we have activities at the camp before bidding farewell to the school and heading to the airport. Arrival in the UK depends on flight schedules.

   Arrive UK

   All meals included
