The Diploma in International Volunteering is a recognised qualification around the globe. Here at STC expeditions we work with the Centre for Global Citizenship Studies which means we can offer students the Level 3 diploma as a valuable addition to their overseas adventure. This is an Ofqual regulated diploma recognised by universities in the UK, Europe, North America and beyond.
What we do (in one line):
We help schools and students turn meaningful service experiences into recognised, assessed learning that supports progression (university applications, employability, and global citizenship outcomes).
The Diploma at a glance:
- UK Ofqual-regulated Level 3 Diploma (portfolio-based, flexible and online)
- Designed to fit around existing service trips, expeditions, or placement models (before, during, after)
- Students complete structured preparation, participate in meaningful activity, and produce assessed reflection and evidence
- Recognised outcomes including 16 UCAS points (+1 grade), with international credit pathways (e.g., ECTS / US credit options depending on route)
- 41 hours in total
- Costs an additional £425
Why schools like it:
- Adds academic rigour and measurable outcomes to what’s already happening
- No heavy lift for staff: we deliver and assess, you embed it into your trip cycle
- Produces tangible outputs students can re-use in personal statements, interviews, EPQ-style projects, and applications.
If you are interested in adding this to your educational expedition please do not hesitate to get in touch.
