Destination Inspiration....
School Expeditions
A school or college expedition should challenge your students mentally and physically, opening their eyes to a new world, providing adventure, learning, self-development, team building and more than a little fun.
We help schools arrange expeditions that deliver all these things and more, in a safe, structured and responsible way. We also arrange responsible and sustainable expedition project work, if required.
We help teachers from all kinds of schools select suitable expedition destinations, compare the approaches of dozens of different expedition providers, and help plan, market, launch, fundraise and prepare for life-enhancing expeditions.
Put simply, we are the catalyst to help you find the perfect adventure that will educate, enrich, challenge and thrill young minds. We will help you make sense of the myriad of possibilities and then create an exceptional school expedition, tailor-made to YOUR needs.
We think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by our prices too.
Adventure Travel

Whether you are a prep school or a 6th form college, adventure travel makes for a fabulous learning experience for students and is an ideal option for schools that do not want to commit to a more involved or lengthy expedition.
We will get you to see your destination in close-up, perhaps travelling by 4×4, camel, dugout canoe, elephant, tuk-tuk, bus, on foot or bicycle. Your accommodation could be just as varied, with camping, tribal long-houses, riverboats, homestays, hammocks, hostels and hotels all possibilities.
We deal with dozens of leading adventure travel companies and will work closely with you to find the best travel solution and partner to match your needs.
Geography

If you want a run-of-the-mill geography trip at the cheapest possible price, then we’re probably not the best company for you.
However, if you place value for money above price or you want to hear your students whisper ‘wow’ as they see the sun set over a spectacular desert landscape or the majestic Himalaya, then we most definitely are your company.
We arrange inspirational school geography trips around the world: From 5 day tasters in Morocco, to two weeks or more travelling into the depths countries as diverse as Ghana, Costa Rica, Iceland, China and Turkey. Ours are imaginative itineraries that enable your students to really get under the skin of your destination.
The school geography tours we arrange may have a particular focus (such as plate tectonics, glaciation, populations, tropical forests or deserts for instance) but the way they are delivered means the whole trip becomes a much wider learning experince: religions, cultures, climate, street markets, canopy walkways, white-water rafting through spectacular canyons, sleeping under desert stars… there are lots of opportunities.
Our knowledge of the world’s habitats and travel possibilities means we can create the tour or expedition that will perfectly compliment your classroom teaching.
Biology & Ecology

The world’s flora & fauna, habitats and conservation challenges offer an endless supply of rich opportunity for biology tours and expeditions.
From supreme wildlife watching right on our door step in Europe (in Poland no less!) to conservation studies in the Galapagos, wilderness safari tracking courses in South Africa, or marine conservation projects, we have access to a fabulous array of biology and ecology focused tours and expeditions perfect for schools.
We can get you hands on with primate research studies in Sri Lanka or turtle conservation programmes in Costa Rica. Or you may prefer a more general tour amongst the cloud forests and steamy jungles of Peru, the tiger reserves of India or a ‘big five’ safari in Kenya.
In addition to the above, we also create combined biology and geography tours such as our multi-activity exploration of Costa Rica.
History & Classics

The World’s cultural and historical marvels need no introduction. However, how they are presented to pupils on a history tour will largely determine the level of enthusiasm and curiosity with which they are received.
We are able to provide a huge range and diversity of history, classics and archaeology focused tours, tailored to individual requirements that will show the world’s past civilisations and traditions at their very best.
Examples of possibilities we can arrange include, archaeological tours of ancient Egypt; Biblical tours of Jordan, Egypt and Israel, The Roman Empire in Turkey, the Middle East, Libya or Morocco; The Mayan, Aztec and Inca Empires; The slave history of West Africa; Vietnam War history tours; Chinese history – ancient and modern; and Imperial Russia.
IB CAS

Overseas expeditions can fulfil many aspects of the CAS curriculum and offer huge potential for related projects and further learning. If required, itineraries can be specifically tailored to individual subjects such as geography, history, biology or religion. Read Bridgwater College's casestudy.
Undertaking a community or conservation project as part of the trip is an ideal way to satisfy the Service element of CAS, and it is often the project section of a trip that is the most impacting and fulfilling. Projects can vary widely in remit and can last from a day to a week or more.
Your choice of destination will govern the type of project and other activities available to you, but with over 140 countries worldwide to choose from, we can offer you a huge range of possibilities.
To get you started, read up on Egypt, Morocco or Turkey - three ideal destinations for a shorter trip of around 8 to 10 days. If you're looking for something further afield and longer, then how about Ecuador, Peru, Ghana, China, India or Tanzania?
Citizenship

Educational citizenship tours should help students develop a better understanding of a whole range of topics – from fair-trade and the environment, to human rights, music, education, development, nutrition, religion, politics, art, sport and more.
There’s a need to arrange a travel experience that is more than skin deep – and that’s exactly what we deliver.
As agents for more than 40 different travel companies, all recognised as being amongst the best in the industry, we regularly arrange a wide variety of tours for schools and colleges to travel to Asia, Africa and Latin America.
We offer a great selection of tours across the world that will enhance and complement your global citizenship teaching. We are often able to organise visits to local schools, as well as arrange to see the work of local charities and NGOs.
Safaris & Wildlife

Safaris make for a great school trip, either in their own right, or linked to course subjects like biology, ecology, geography or perhaps citizenship.
We feel very secure when we say that we arrange some of the best school safaris around. Our position as a niche travel agent enables us to arrange trips in Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, India and Sri Lanka.
Our safaris get you incredibly close to the flora and fauna, with expert local guides and diverse itineraries that could see you on bush walks with Masai warriors, paddling a canoe past elephant and hippo on the lower Zambezi or camping in the wilds of Namibia. We can get you face to face with mountain gorillas in Rwanda, or have you searching for tigers deep in the Indian sub-continent.
We also have access to hands-on courses covering flora and fauna identification, tracking, eco-management and more.
We have a wealth of experience in this field and a passion for wildlife that will enable you to get the very best from your trip.
School Linking

International school links and partnerships are a powerful educational tool. Combining a visit to a link school with an adventure tour or expedition increases the learning potential hugely and can help cement relations between schools.
If you have a successful link and want to arrange a student visit to take your partnership to the next level, then we can help make that happen.
If you are looking for schools to link with, then we can help with that too.
We specialise in creating tours and expeditions focused around your link school, but also allowing you to explore the best parts of the country you are visiting. In this way, the trip no longer just becomes a school visit, it becomes an immersion into the life, culture, history, geography, wildlife, scenery and people of your destination.
We believe it makes for an intoxicating educational mix, and the glowing feedback and repeat business we get from our link-school clients confirms that view.
Language

If you are after a typical language tour of France or Spain, then there are many travel companies out there that we don’t pretend to be able to compete with. However, if you are after something a little bit different from the norm, then read on.
In Latin America, for instance, we can arrange Spanish language courses with internationally recognised schools, homestays with local families and local, Spanish speaking guides who will really bring the culture and history of your destination to life. Guatemala, Cuba, Ecuador, Peru and Argentina are all possibilities.
If it is a French tour you are after, then how about Vietnam, Morocco, or the West African countries of Benin, Mali or Burkina Faso?
We can design stimulating and vibrant educational tours of these and other countries, including China, Japan and Russia, which will give your students ample opportunity to practice their language skills and learn about the country’s history and culture.
Religion

In countries and regions as fascinating as India, Sri Lanka, Tibet, Thailand and the Middle East, you can’t fail to be awestruck by the ubiquitous nature of religion and how it transcends people’s daily lives.
A religious education tour is a chance to experience at first hand how religion shapes whole countries, cultures and lifestyles and can be an immensely powerful and educational experience.
Whether you plan a tour that provides a general overview, or prefer an in-depth look of specific sites and ceremonies, we can design an itinerary to fit your budget and requirements.
India is a natural choice for many, but there are fabulous options in many other countries too with a diversity and intensity to inspire all who visit – visit our Destinations page for more ideas.
Diving
If you are looking to arrange a school dive trip or expedition, then we deal with a number of excellent dive tour operators that cater for school groups.
Through them we are able to offer schools PADI training and certification, as well as project-based marine expeditions that enable participants to get involved in badly needed reef survey work.
Marine conservation expeditions can be an excellent tool for practical science based learning, with training in marine and coral habitats to improve species identification skills and advanced buoyancy skills.
Our operators can tailor itineraries to meet your requirements – get in touch for more information or for a quote.
