Training

Pre-trip training that is tailored to a group's requirements is not only a good opportunity for team building to start before travel commences, it is vital in establishing essential skills that may be required on the trip ahead. From putting up tents, to learning specialist winter mountaineering skills or sea kayaking safety, it is imperative that the training is both relevant and provided by suitably qualified instructors.

The STC has teamed up with some of the best adventurous training providers in the UK to deliver the necessary pre-departure training when needed. All our UK training providers are Adventure Activity Licensing Authority (AALA) registered and, like our tour operators, they have been chosen for their particular skills and expertise in a variety of areas.

We are aware that many schools are themselves AALA registered and are able to run their own pre-trip training courses. For those that are not, our AALA registered training providers will be able to design a suitable course and deliver the necessary training, whatever journey or expedition you have planned.
