Cultural Considerations

Experiencing the culture of a country is one of the joys of travelling and an integral part of any educational trip abroad. It should always be remembered, however, that as tourists we are guests in someone else's country and as such we should respect the wishes of the local people and their culture. This applies to everything from dressing appropriately, to the taking of photographs and general conduct. A little effort in this respect does not normally go unnoticed. The more effort you put in to learning about the culture of a country, the more you will get out, even if it is just learning a few words of the local language.
