Overland Expeditions

Overland expeditions in a purpose built vehicle allow for great flexibility and the ability to get into remote and otherwise inaccessible areas of a country. "Overlanding" is not only about cultures, people and scenery, but also about the journey. There is a definite sense of freedom as the expedition is not constrained to public transport routes, paved roads or the use of hotels. Vehicles are fully equipped with long range fuel tanks, water, food, tents, spare parts and, with the use of some specialist equipment and a dash of muscle power, the ability to get through even the most challenging of "roads".

Good teamwork, an excellent vehicle and an experienced driver are essential for the success of any trip, and make for a powerful combination. Overland style expeditions can be arranged for a period as short as one week, but to fully appreciate the mode of transport and ethos of an expedition, two weeks or more are usually recommended.
